Dr. Michael Sommers is a doctor of chiropractic with a passion for helping patients feel and function at their very best. Following his graduation from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2005, he began developing a unique blend of manual therapy known as Complete Chiropractic Care™. Combining his extensive training in Active Release Techniques®, sports-related injuries, and biomechanics, Dr. Sommers has designed a thorough, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. The goal of this approach is to provide patients with immediate improvements in their health and wellbeing.
Dr. Sommers is an avid rock-climber, long-distance cyclist and a runner. He also maintains a regular meditation practice. He lives in Toronto with his wife Erin.
Dr. Natalie Leib BSc, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic
Active Release Techniques® provider
Dr. Natalie Leib is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2010) where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) with Clinic Honours. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
Using an integrative clinical approach that combines chiropractic care, Active Release Techniques® and rehabilitation exercises, Dr. Leib works with patients to enhance physical function and optimize performance. Dr. Leib is also certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University.
Dr. Leib enjoys traveling and participating in a variety of physical activities including basketball, running and cycling. She currently holds a second degree Black Belt in Karate and recently completed her first duathlon.
Robin Dickie RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Robin Dickie is a registered massage therapist with a keen interest in helping patients achieve optimal physical function. Robin successfully completed her massage therapy studies at Centennial College in Toronto and is fully licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Robin has an extensive therapeutic background and has treated a variety of clinical complaints that range from repetitive strain injuries to high-risk pregnancy and palliative patients at several Toronto Hospitals. In addition to her clinical work, Robin has shared her expertise with new parents, providing workshops and classes in infant massage. Robin is passionate about massage therapy and the positive effects it can have on people's lives. She has a particular therapeutic interest in providing care for over-use syndromes such as carpel-tunnel, sciatic pain, migraines and headaches.
Even when away from work, Robin won't give her fingers a rest; much of her spare time is spent learning and practicing flamenco guitar.
She looks forward to working with you at Evolve.
Rafael Martinez RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Rafael Martinez is a Registered Massage Therapist with a passion for sports, fitness, and health. In addition to having a B.S. Degree in Chemistry and a Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Florida College of Natural Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Rafael completed his Massage Therapy studies at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto. He is currently a licensed member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.
Rafael is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and holds certifications from Can-Fit-Pro, AFAA and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Weight Management and Lifestyle Consultant. He is passionate about fitness and Massage Therapy, and strongly believes that therapeutic massage therapy has the ability to impact and change people's lives. He brings compassion and approachability to all of his treatments, while at the same time providing the best care for repetitive strain injuries, postural and stress-related conditions, and sports/accident related injuries.
In his free time, Rafael is an avid runner, volleyball player and a Latin dancer. He has been involved with the non-for-profit organizations Up With People and The Toronto's People with AIDS Foundation for many years. He is very excited to be a part of the Evolve team, and is looking forward to working with you.
Alison Black RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Alison's journey into the world of natural healing began when she was recovering from injury. During a Massage Therapy session, she realized the power and potential of this healing art, and her passion was born. Soon after, she begun her studies. Graduating from the acclaimed Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2004 with honours, was just the beginning.
Alison continues to study complementary healing modalities, and has received certification / accreditation in Craniosacral Therapy, Pregnancy Massage and Infant Massage Instruction. Alison draws from a combination of Swedish Massage, Myofascial Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Deep Tissue as needed. Her practice is centered around stress management and injury rehabilitation, which includes a strong focus on perinatal care and labour preparation.
Alison is in good standing with the governing body of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is a professional member of the Registered Massage Therpist's Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
